LO1 Starter Task 'Analysing a Photograph'

List as many photography techniques you can see in the image on screen;

The photograph has a slow shutter speed this is shown as you can see the motion blur this means the shutter speed would be about 1/60th of a second, the second photography technique used is shallow depth this is shown as the foreground is in focus whereas the background is out of focus. Another photography technique used is the technique known as the rule of third which is used to make the photograph look balanced, the fourth photography technique used is the angle known as the canted angle, another technique used in this image was high key lighting.

The purpose of this photograph could be to promote a specific motorcycle and brand, it could also be to promote motorcycle racing/betting, and it might also be promoting the sport of motorcycling. The less likely reason for this photograph is to connote the danger of motorcycles this is shown through the use of angles and the use of the techniques to make the crowd in the background come out.
